Bookkeeper retiring? Let's make sure nobody gets dropped.

A CPA-led firm that carries on the practice, the culture, and the client service after the last day.

How can we reach you?

Confidential. We don't contact anyone about this without your permission.

Please add your name.

Please add an email address we can reply to.

Choose the option closest to your timing.

You built this practice over decades. Hand it to a firm, not a listing.

Brokers and marketplaces pass your book to whoever bids. We're the successor ourselves: one CPA-led firm takes on every client, keeps the way you serve them, and does the transition work alongside you.

Plan my transition

  • Your practice carries on. Your clients keep a firm that knows their file and their history.
  • Your culture comes with it. The personal, responsive way you look after clients is what we set out to keep.
  • Client service continues. The questions, the deadlines, the person they call: covered through the handover and after it.
  • Your pace. Next season or a few years out, we plan around the date you choose.

My bookkeeper is retiring. What do I do?

Start before their last day. Collect what's on this list, then let us work alongside them before they go, so nothing lives only in their head.

Already gone? We can still rebuild the file from your bank, CRA, and software records.

How a handover works

The same four stages on either side, paced to your timeline. The aim is continuity: the practice, the culture, and the client service carry on.

  1. A confidential conversationYour timeline, your clients, and what matters most to you.
  2. Getting to know the fileHow each client is served today, and why.
  3. IntroductionsClients hear it from you first, then meet us.
  4. Service carries onThe same standard of care, with a firm behind it.

Questions, by side

If you're retiring

Will my clients know before I'm ready?

No. The conversation stays between you and us until you decide to tell them, and we help you write that letter.

Do I have to hand over everything at once?

No. Some people hand over their whole practice at once; others keep a handful of clients for a final year. We plan around what you choose.

What if my clients use software you don't?

Tell us on the first call. Software is part of the handover plan, and any change is talked through with you and the client first.

If your bookkeeper or accountant is retiring

My bookkeeper has already left. Is it too late?

No. We rebuild the file from your bank, CRA, and software records. It takes longer than a handover, so start soon.

Can you work alongside them before they go?

Yes, and it's the best case. Working side by side, even briefly, means nothing lives only in their head when they leave.

Will we have to change accounting software?

Not necessarily. We start from the system you use today, and any change is talked through with you before it happens.
